A video wall commercial.

This long (52") commercial was designed for a local hotel spa.
After storyboarding the scenes and agreed with the client the general concept, AfterEffects was used to put the commercial together.
Some of the clips used are footage from product demos, others were filmed with a handycam. We only used one still. Vectors where designed at Illustrator CS3.

Method of approach.
Since the clip will be displayed on a LED video wall at the street, there was
  1. No need for sound
  2. A need for displaying the message of our client
    in every second.
  3. Need for a clean and clear layout.
Thus, after a few attempts to negotiate the message on the storyboard, and  getting the client's blessings, I used primarily footage from the client's product suppliers.
Instead of cutting the footage to communicate verbal messages, the use of a lower third ribbon was considered to be better. The clients contact details are always on and the type of service displayed is flashing on and off on the ribbon as well.
The general palette comes from the clients brand color scheme.
The final product, may seem not very fancy, yet it serves its purpose excellently.

Enjoy.
